Guys I am not a true blogger!!. Man I can't believe I can't write something once a day here!! I can run my mouth daily, check my email daily, check Facebook daily. But nope nothing here!!. Well I am going to try to change this!!
Starting tomorrow today!
Did another walk tonight with Kristin. I have now gotten 4 miles down behind me!! We walked Monday night and then again tonight. I have a new app to me, on my phone. Map my walk. And i just discovered it keeps up with the calories burned, sleep, steps. I don't have a flex band but was wanting one... Maybe one day. Any way I am super excited... Burn calories burn!!
Got to go to West Georgia Medical Center to support my daughter getting the SIMS Scholarship!! Yep my daughter is going into nursing school!! We are very proud of her to the max. She will be enrolled in the nursing program at LaGrange College and then will have a job already at West Georgia Medical!! Talk about awesome!!. Sorry just had to brag!! Congratulations Kristin Talley!!
WOW what a morning. Lost 2 hrs of sleep. My back was killing me!! Not sure if I may have over did the exercise or not. I thought the workout was rather simple. But man oh man all night my back hurt pretty bad. Not to mention all day to. The foods I ate was a new recipe for Chicken, broccoli, and quinoa. It was very good at dinner last night and today for lunch. Been having breakfasts in a jar also. Snacks today were celery and carrots. Basically the foods that I had planned to eat today I ended up not eating all of them. I am sure thats a good thing. Well, skipped the workout today and maybe tomorrow I will give the work out another try but maybe not the full amount.
Ok I officially started the 21 Day Fix plan. Well, I think I did very well personally for the first day. I didn't drink the required water amount. But I did drink water. The only sugar I did have was in the am in my coffee. I haven't had any bread all day. Did very good. I also tried a 20 min quick workout that Autumn had posted on her You Tube Channel. Well, I thought I was dying!! Yeah and it was a real simple work out. Then I figured out real quick I am really out of shape. But hopefully I will be able to at least eat in small portions and get some exercise in.
Life is busy and we make it harder than we should sometimes. I have found a cool breakfast idea for busy people. I am in the process of merging into doing the 21 day fix program, so this works perfectly for breakfast.
Breakfast In A Jar!! Yes thats true breakfast in a jar. How cool does that sound. I don't have a picture of my own for you so I will borrow one idea from the web and link the recipe there. Look at this yummy goodness in a JAR!. Below is my recipe I used.
1/4 C old fashioned rolled oatmeal (can use steel cut)
1/3 C Almond Milk (unsweetened)
1/4 C Greek Yogurt (low fat)
1 tsp Chia seeds
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla flavoring)
1/2 C blueberries (or desired fruit)

Ever seen the 21 Day Fix ads and infomercials? Well, my tv is consumed with it. I have been researching this new concept of how to eat correctly for a couple of weeks. I am not a promoter of this or am I being paid for mentioning it. I am like many others who want to shed a few pounds so I have been making lots of notes on how to complete this journey. My plan is to start JUNE 1-21. With this said and medium high hopes I am hoping for the best. We all know we need to cut back some on eating right. Portion control is the whole concept. The one that really opened up my eyes on what's important is Heather Reichert. She has a wonderful concept of how we should think about ourselves.
